Gas Turbine - Cogeneration - Power Station - Asset Management - Leadership - Renewable Energy

A well respected icon in the national Energy and Utility sector, our client has a current requirement for an Asset Manager to join their Brisbane office and provide asset management services for their portfolio of renewable and green energy power generation sites throughout Queensland.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading energy services group and be responsible for some of the optimisation and management of this growing area of their business. To be successful, it is expected that you will have a technical background with tertiary qualifications in a relevant technical field combined with strong commercial acumen in contracts management and budget control. Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with various types of power plant would be highly regarded.

As the Asset Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement industry best practice asset management and O&M strategies
  • Delivering against agreed O&M and Capex budgets
  • Remote operation and monitoring of generation assets
  • Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, regulatory bodies and major customers in the normal course of your work

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary or Trade level qualifications in a relevant technical discipline
  • Ability to identify continual improvements
  • Engineering project and contract management skills
  • Commercial and financial skills
  • Previous power generation industry experience (Gas Turbines an advantage)
  • Strong asset management capabilities in management of generation plant assets
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills
  • Experience in financial and commercial disciplines is essential.
