The Sepon Copper operation in Laos produces approximately 80,000 tonnes of Copper and approximately 70,000oz of Gold annually. 

Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the purpose of the Maintenance Services Superintendent role is to provide effective equipment maintenance management and repair for Light Vehicles, dewatering equipment, lighting plants, cranes and building infrastructure. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Planning and execution of crane management, scaffolding and rigging, equipment rebuild, steel fabrication
• Contract management of key maintenance support contracts
• Coordinate, manage and direct the activities of the maintenance services team
• Ensure systems, procedures and work instructions for safe maintenance are always used
• Liaise with the maintenance planners and supervisors to ensure the use of maintenance resources is planned and efficient
• Mentor local workforce personnel
• Plan and implement competency training for the team
• Develop processes, teams and strategies for a newly created maintenance team 

To be successful in this position you must possess: 

• Trades certification with certificate / diploma of Engineering
• Extensive mining experience in a maintenance services leadership role
• Experience with contractor management in remote locations
• Management of service teams including light vehicles, cranes, rebuild facilities, fabrication workshops and facilities maintenance
• Knowledge of Equipment Maintenance Strategies, condition monitoring techniques, mechanical and electrical equipment design and operation
• Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities for business improvement
• Support and promotes participation of other personnel 

Located near the gateway to South East Asia, this position allows for exploration of this fascinating region whilst on R&R. This role will be a Vientiane, Laos, based residential role however a FIFO roster will be considered for exceptional candidates if a residential option is not possible. Onsite accommodation facilities are provided, including a gym and sporting facilities. Relocation and living allowances for residential in Vientiane will be provided
