The Sepon Copper operation in Laos produces approximately 80,000 tonnes of Copper and approximately 70,000oz of Gold annually. 

Reporting to the Planning & Engineering Superintendent the Long Term Planning Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and training of Lao personnel within the maintenance planning team. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating major shutdowns and projects within processing facilities, as well as developing major overhaul strategies for the mobile mining fleet. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Develop and plan mobile fleet major rebuild strategies
• Plan and co-ordinate major process plant shutdowns
• Developing the Life of Asset plans and strategies
• Build and coordinate a high performance team
• Maximise plant availability and reducing costs
• Continuing development of the positive safety culture at Sepon
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Select and mentor individuals for departmental succession plans
• Provide input into continuous plant improvements
• Establish training requirements for the Lao planning staff 

To be successful you must possess: 

• Trade qualification and Cert IV Training and Assessment
• Extensive experience in a senior maintenance planning role in a relevant mining/processing industry
• Experience in a developing and mentoring inexperienced personnel
• Previous experience managing cross cultural teams
• Extensive process plant shutdown planning experience
• Experience with developing mobile fleet major overhaul strategies
• Budget planning and preparation
• Knowledge of maintenance systems, plant and mobile equipment and technical training systems 

Located near the gateway to South East Asia, this position allows for exploration of this fascinating region whilst on R&R. This role will be a Vientiane, Laos, based residential role however a FIFO roster will be considered for exceptional candidates if a residential option is not possible. Onsite accommodation facilities are provided, including a gym and sporting facilities. Relocation and living allowances for residential in VTE will be provided
