MMG's Century Operation, located in North-West Queensland, is Australia's largest open pit zinc mine. In production since 2000, Century comprises an open pit mine and concentrator at Lawn Hill uniquely linked by an underground slurry pipeline to the dewatering and shipping facility at the Karumba Port.
An exciting opportunity exists for two experienced Contract officers to join our team at Century mine. You will undertake a lead role in establishing, validating and aligning contractor management across the site and maintaining contractor management process to ensure it meets the requirements of the site. You will play a key role in hazard identification, risk management and contractor management practices. You will also be involved in carrying out contract planning with end users, mange delivery to suit business requirements and inventory target.
As successful candidate, you will have effective negotiation skills, ability to read, comprehend and articulate contractual arrangements and conditions. Your strong customer focus, communication and influencing skills will see you further succeed in this role.
You will have a demonstrated knowledge of the role as described. Ideally, you will have very strong proven experience in contract pre and post award processes and activities and contract management. Desirable to the role will a degree or bachelor's degree preferably in a Business related discipline.
For this opportunity, MMG Century is offering a 5/2, 7/7 commute roster from Townsville, Cairns, Mt Isa or Gulf Communities with full relocation assistance to preferred interstate or overseas candidates. Remuneration includes competitive base salary, site allowance, quarterly bonus incentive scheme and a range of salary sacrifice options.
