Administration Assistant - Safety

We are seeking an Administration Assistant at our Cadia Valley Operations in Orange, NSW. You will provide effective and efficient Safety Administration support for the busy Asset Management Department. 

Reporting to the Manager - Asset Management your key responsibilities will include: 

• Record and track incident notifications and investigations into safety tracking system (Cintellate) soon to be a new HSEC reporting system - "CHESS"
• Record hazard card notifications and assign applicable actions
• Record Safe Behaviour Observations
• Report on safety statistics as per reporting schedule
• Perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned
• Actively promote a safety culture among all department personnel and contractors
• Perform general administrative tasks as requested by Department Manager 

Previous experience in general administration or occupational health and safety in the mining industry or similar heavy industry is required. You should have demonstrated the ability to operate effectively in a busy environment requiring you to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills will be crucial to your success as you will be a central contact for administrative enquiries for all levels of the Asset Management department. Your customer focus should be backed up with sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
