We are seeking a Registered Nurse with Occupational Health Nursing experience for a full time FIFO opportunity at our Telfer Mine site. This role offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our Health Services team by providing clinic and emergency nursing care for employees, contractors and visitors to Telfer in accordance with Newcrest policies and procedures. 

Reporting to the Supervisor - Health Services, your primary responsibilities will include: 

• Management of the Occupational Health Nurse clinics, including assessment, treatment and referral of patients
• Health surveillance and drug & alcohol screening
• Provision of onsite emergency nursing care (may include trauma care) and emergency on-call
• Provision of active support with health education and injury prevention plus wellness programs on site
• Participation in the injury management and return to work programs
• Routine mines health personal monitoring - occupational biological, mines health surveillance
• Maintenance of medical equipment and facilities 

To be successful in this role you will have registration as a General Nurse with AHPRA and previous experience within either remote, occupational health or emergency nursing. You will hold current First Aid and Advanced Life Support qualifications and have strong computer skills, including previous experience with Medical Director. Ideally, you will also be an Audiometric Officer and Approved Person for Spirometry with the WA Dept of Minerals and Petroleum, hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and be an Authorised Drug Screening Officer. You will be a confident communicator and have a flexible attitude to ambiguity.
