Senior Emergency Services Security Officer

This role offers the chance to step up to the next level in your emergency response career. Essentially, you will lead the team's response to any emergency incident at Telfer and ensure this is managed in an efficient and effective manner whilst reducing the potential risk to personnel, the environment and company assets.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
• Organise and lead the Emergency Services and Security team at the Telfer Mine site to:
• Provide emergency response coverage
• Train volunteer emergency response personnel
• Maintain emergency response equipment
• Provide security services in line with Newcrest Gold Standard
• Manage relationships with external training providers, department heads and contractors
• Build and develop the Emergency Services and Security team
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in emergency response and security. You will be well organised, flexible and self motivated as you will need to hit the ground running. As an excellent communicator you will be able to build relationships and have a real impact across the site. Certificates in Emergency Response and Fire Service will be required. Other Certificates such as Work Place Training and Assessing, First Aid, Security Operations and Public Safety will be beneficial.
