Senior Field Technician/ Surface Data Acquisition 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Field Technician to support the Cased Hole Services Department based in Canning Vale.

You will operate Expro equipment, on location, in a professional, competent and safe manner in order to satisfy the client’s requirements. More specifically, you’ll need sufficient working knowledge of Cased Hole Services (Electrical) equipment including but not limited to Surface Data Acquisition equipment, Slick Line Perforating, Production Logging Tools, Down Hole Video Camera and Electronic Memory gauges. You’ll also attend pre/post client meetings, maintain good rapport with onsite client engineers and remain full informed on software changes, tool upgrades and operational issues as well as assisting in compiling job reports, calibrating equipment, ordering spares etc. 

Good experience of working to QA systems is necessary coupled with the ability to pack and load our equipment and generally work in a safe, responsible and cost effecting manner. You must be able to work with limited supervision and ideally will be able to train other personnel in your area or expertise. 

You’ll need a Technical/Engineering qualification (electrical bias) or equivalent, ideally with a minimum of five years’ relevant oil and gas experience. 

Self motivated, pro-active and able to communicate with clients on technical matters, you’ll also be able to supervise junior personnel both in the field and during maintenance/report periods in the base. 

You must be prepared to travel internationally and work under challenging conditions both offshore and onshore.
