A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources Superintendent to be part of this exciting chapter of MMG's successfully developing Dugald River project in North-West of Queensland. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager Queensland, you will play a strong influential role in supporting and assisting the Human Resources Manager in the implementation and development of HR initiatives and strategies.

This Human Resources leadership role will draw on your knowledge of employee relations and human resource management to make a contribution to mine performance. Managing a team, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining business partnerships with your client departments. You will work closely with the mine leadership team on a range of strategic and operational matters, including workforce planning, performance management, and oversight of key service contracts.

To be considered for this role it's essential you're degree qualified in HR or related discipline, are well versed in relevant State and Federal legislation and have demonstrable success in team lead/supervisory positions. You'll possess sound influencing, coaching and mentoring skills and proven ability to interpret workplace legislation, policies and procedures.

Applicants must hold current fulltime work rights within Australia and be familiar with either the mining or comparable heavy industry.

This position will be initially based in Brisbane on a 5 days on/2 days off roster until construction of the site is complete. You will then commute from site on an 8 days on/6 days off roster (or similar).

This greenfield site will provide you with an excellent opportunity to influence and shape Dugald River's HR function. You will have the opportunity to act as HR Manager during periods of absence/leave and play a key role in the creation and delivery of the HR vision/direction for the site.
