ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Performs assignments, which have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables for an engineering discipline within a global business unit.
Understands the basic discipline work processes. Performs engineering tasks, within a discipline, having a minor degree of complexity. Participates in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data from suppliers. Familiar with relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).

Specific Roles and Responsibilities
As part of a vibrant and dynamic team, you will be involved in conceptual and detailed environmental engineering for a range of complex projects.
The post is very varied and specific knowledge of one or more of the following is required:
• Managing Industrial Waste Water and Water Treatment
• Compiling emissions inventories
• Air Dispersion Modelling.
• Interfacing with government Environmental Regulatory Authorities
• Ensuring that projects meet compliance with local noise regulations
• Checking the environmental compliance of projects
In addition the role involves Management of subcontractors that conduct Environmental Studies such as Environmental Impact Assessments

Position Skills
Qualifications - BEng/BSc in Chemical Engineering or MSc in Environmental Engineering
Software Tools – Working knowledge of AERMOD.
Environmental Legislation - Knowledge of international and country specific legislation.

The candidate should be a Chartered engineer or working toward chartership with a professional affiliation.
The role involves opportunity for international travel.
