Due to a recent internal promotion, our Engineering Services team in Auckland has an opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team as an Engineering Operations Supervisor maintaining one of the premium data centres in the Auckland region.

The Downer Engineering team prides themselves as being the leading provider of design, build, maintain and operate services for critical infrastructure focused on the Data Centre and Telecommunications sector.

The role is based on: 

•Operational excellence
•Risk management
•Cost effective management and completion of all scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance works
•Management of resources, a 24/7 data centre operations team and critical services contractors for the completion of the works
•Training and familiarisation of contractors and staff 

About you: 

The successful applicant may be an electrical engineer BE or NZCE equivalent, or an electrician with extensive management / supervision experience, or possibly a HVAC /Mechanical person with strong electrical experience and knowledge gained from a management or supervision background in:

•Data centre management
• Industrial process control
•Oil and gas industry
•Hospital engineering
•Power industry 

To be successful you will need:

•To be detailed orientated
•A positive, proactive leadership style
•Computer literate
•High level of ownership for contract deliverables
•Technical report writing ability
•Proven experience in the critical infrastructure systems (both electrical and mechanical)
•To be focused on forming and maintaining positive relationships with our teams and clients
•Committed to maintaining a high focus on health and safety
•Sound problem solving abilities
